My goal is to be more intentional with my words and actions. One way I have been doing this is through the use of positive affirmations, specifically “I am” statements. I have been using this technique for several months now. Ever since using “I am” affirmations, I have noticed a significant improvement in my self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth. I have since adjusted my daily routine to align with my goals. I am taking action that I have resisted in the past, action that makes me all-around more successful. I have manifested a new job and a free dance lesson! Even better, these manifested blessings are coming into my awareness. I am manifesting an abundance of blessings! I am confident that my “I am” affirmation work has helped.
As it turns out, “I am” affirmations are among the most popular. The concept “I am” is associated with spirituality and consciousness. Consciousness is all about awareness, awareness of the present moment. By utilizing “I am”, you are declaring the statement as current and true. Your subconscious mind is more likely to resonate with an “I am” statement because it is in the present moment. As stated by Neville Goddard in The Power of Awareness, “I AM is the feeling of permanent awareness. The very center of consciousness is the feeling of I AM. I may forget who I am, where I am, what I am, but I cannot forget that I AM.”
I’d recommend being intentional with what you claim following “I am.” The more you repeat an “I am” phrase, the more it becomes true. How “I am” statements will determine how you feel. It has the potential to either improve or worsen your mood. “I am” statements can help to reframe your thoughts, and thus influence your emotions and behavior. You can use “I am” as a form of positive self-talk. “I am” can help to cultivate and manifest desired outcomes.
There is a lot of power behind “I am”. There is power in being intentional. There is power in what messages you are directing towards yourself. “I am” can be used as a tool. Why not use that tool of power to manifest good in your life? Be persistent. Stay consistent. Trust the process.
